Cantilever desks are the most popular type of office desks today, not through quality because a good beam system or 4 legged desk would usually be far more sturdy, but because they are generally low in cost and offer modern styling and practical design.

Cantilever desks are defined as having two counter-balanced legs (one at each side) with a modestly panel & worktop to complete the structure.
